Care One at Wilmington

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Day-to-day coordination and oversight of the nursing process for residents assigned to his or her care. Direct and indirect provision of care according to each resident's nursing and medical plan of care and in accordance with state and federal regulations and accepted nursing standards of practice. Supervises administratively in the building assigned, Certified Nursing Assistants and licensed nurses of all staff of his/her respective discipline. Supervision follows all accepted state and federal guidelines for the respective discipline.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Education Graduate from credentialed school of nursing

  • Certification/Licensure: Currently licensed as a nurse in the state of practice.

Our May Center Schools for Autism and Developmental Disabilities offer full-day, year-round educational services to children and adolescents. Our schools focus on building communication, social, behavioral, vocational, and academic skills. We base our programs on applied behavior analysis, or ABA, which has been shown through hundreds of scientific studies to be the most effective method to teach children and adolescents with autism and other developmental disabilities. Candidates for the teacher position should have a desire to work with students with significantly challenging behaviors who require the implementation of more complex behavior support plans on a regular and consistent basis. Responsibilities: * Provide coordination and leadership of the classroom. * Design an individualized curriculum, write educational plans, collect and evaluate data, and write student progress reports. * Deliver individualized and group instruction and other educational objectives. * Implement comprehensive behavior support plans. * Train and supervise other teachers and classroom assistants.
