Licensed Practical Nurse

Actalent is hiring an LPN for a full time permanent role in The Villages, FL!

Job Description

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ongoing patient assessment for patients undergoing oncology treatments. You will ensure appropriate charges are captured by following guidelines for the administration of all medications, and follow the company's I.D. policy and procedure with every patient encounter. You will also act as a moderator/instructor for chemotherapy classes, educate patients and their families about medications, side effects, and planned treatment courses. Your interaction with patients and their families should always be in a caring, professional manner.

Hard Skills

• Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of FL

• Experience in IV infusion/therapy

• Ability to assess patient needs and condition

• Strong critical thinking skills

• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations

• Current CPR & BLS certifications

• Prior experience and knowledge dispensing medication via Necleus

• Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills

• Valid Driver's license, in state of residency

• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification (preferred)

• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital (preferred)

Soft Skills

• Ability to interact with patients and their families in a caring, professional manner

• Ability to prioritize and respond to incoming calls and messages in a timely manner
