In this role you will:

  • Perform direct patient care within the scope of Physical Therapy Practice Act, with emphasis on processes and patient outcome.

  • Perform age specific patient assessments, care planning and treatments for appropriate care setting: Acute care, Inpatient Rehab, and/or Outpatient as assigned.

  • Create an environment and culture that enables Therapy Services to fulfill the mission of the Hospital and meet or exceed its goals.

Qualifications

Minimum Education/Licensure/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physical Therapy

  • Current Texas PT licensure

  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by the American Heart Association required

Minimum Experience:

  • One year experience is preferred.

Lamar Blvd. Arlington, Texas 76011 Salary range is Min. $36.05/hr to Max. $53.31/hr - based on relevant experience Hours/Schedule PRN (as needed) working Rotating shifts and Schedules based on entity needs ( will be required to float to at least 3 different entities) Performs age appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care Obtains/verifies physician order for therapy and validates for appropriateness Reviews available medical records and obtains pertinent medical history from patient or family Ensures that patient has given informed consent to treatment Evaluates each patient using age and diagnosis appropriate assessment tests and measurements, including appropriate outcome assessment tool(s) Integrates assessment results to identify functional problems and prioritizes care needs with patient and family Sets appropriate, measurable, functional goals with time frames to address the identified problems including patient/family goals and preferences Determines plan for care, and/or appropriate therapeutic interventions to achieve stated goals Initiates therapy discharge planning in collaboration with care team and patient based on prognosis and expected discharge disposition Demonstrates competence in the performance of age appropriate patient assessment and individualizes care based on age specific needs.
