Licensed Optician

Job Description Job Description PDS Optical is seeking a Licensed Optician to complete our team, based out of the Columbia, SC VA PDS is looking for a self-motivated, experienced, and dependable Optician who likes working in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position with regular hours from 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

NO weekends and paid Federal Holiday's off after 90 days of employment We offer competitive pay ranging from $24.00-$28.00 per hour plus commissions and bonuses, with no cap on your earning potential We offer great benefits including Health, Dental, and Free Life insurance, Paid Vacations and Holidays, 401k with a Company Safe Harbor Match and MORE You must be able to pass a federal background check and have your South Carolina State Opticianry License. Essential Functions: Interpret prescriptions and take proper eye and facial measurements to correctly fit ophthalmic eyewear.

Must have thorough knowledge of all Frames, Lenses, and Coatings available to educate patients on all frame and lens products available to ensure the best quality custom eyewear for them. Must know and be able to perform proper adjustment techniques in order to make necessary repairs and adjustments. Provide quality check to ensure that order is to the specifications of the patient.
