Position Summary

To lead and direct the overall operations of the facility in accordance with customer needs, government regulations and Company policies, with focus on maintaining excellent care for the residents while achieving the facility's business objectives.

Essential Functions

  • Facility Management

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the facility's programs and activities in conjunction with facility's operational budget and state and federal regulations.

  • Lead the facility management staff and consultants in developing and working from a business plan that focuses on all aspects of facility operations, including setting priorities and job assignments.

  • Monitor each department's activities, communicate policies, evaluate performance, provide feedback and assist, observe, coach, and discipline as needed.

  • Develop an environment that allows for creative thinking, problem solving, and empowerment in the development of a facility management team.

  • Oversee regular rounds to monitor delivery of nursing care, operation of support departments, cleanliness and appearance of the facility; morale of the staff; and ensure resident needs are being addressed.

  • Exhibit positive customer service both to internal and external customers.

  • Utilize survey information, in addition to other source documents, to address areas of importance as defined by our customers.

  • Verify that the building and grounds are maintained appropriately and that equipment and work areas are clean, safe and orderly, and any hazardous conditions are addressed.

  • Compliance Management

  • Maintain a working knowledge of and confirm compliance with all governmental regulations.

  • Facility Staffing and Retention

  • Business Management

  • Marketing and Revenue Management

  • Community Relations.

  • Others duties as directed by the Director of Operations.

Licenses, Education, and Experience

  • Current/active state Nursing Home Administrator license.

  • Organized and detailed in work performance.

  • Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.

  • Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility.

  • Comply with the Residents' Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures.

  • Perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined below.

  • Perform Essential Duties as outlined above.

This position will work closely with the Interim Executive Director and will supervise (1) part-time Communication Specialist. The responsibilities include: assessment, web design/development of website and web pages, development of outstanding content and content strategy to complement and enhance the customer experience, programming, review security features, search engine optimization, performs information gathering services including technical website analysis, competitive and keyword research and link analysis, and design and implement logo and marketing aspects. To oversee NCI's public facing messaging (brand), presentation, media, and program participation by working with staff, vendors, and stakeholders through effective planning, project initiation, business analysis, requirements definition systems design, systems development, systems testing, systems implementation, on-going maintenance and enhancement, effective problem identification and resolution, and support for online and distance learning programs. Minimum Qualifications Qualifications Required: Extensive experience in website design, content management, and graphic design. Experience with media marketing campaigns to incorporate with website design. Strong analytical skills with ability to reach logical conclusions; extensive computer skills and related software including Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress and multiple plugins, and JQuery, HTML, PHP, JavaScript. Experience working with a variety of stakeholders including local government, education, and the private sector to develop messaging and content to drive customer engagement and measurable outcomes. Ability to work independently and as a team. Ability to meet deadlines with minimum supervision. Demonstrated excellence to communicate effectively orally and in writing with a diverse population. Ability to prioritize and perform multiple functions simultaneously while providing exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to understand, dissect, create, and improve NCI communications. These critical thinking skills are essential in this position. Considerable knowledge and technical skill in website design, layout, and navigation design, publishing, content management software use, and web editing and production; of web industry trends, new media and web technology and applications; and of strategic communications plans and related web strategic plan. Preferred Qualifications NCI strongly prefers a candidate with a bachelor's degree or higher in Communications, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other applicable field from an accredited college or university.
