Provide diagnostic services, clinical counseling and recommendations for pupils with special needs.
Provide Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) as required in the student Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Observe students; assess, evaluate, analyze, diagnose, and write psychological reports and IEP goals.
Participate in the decision-making process regarding appropriate/beneficial placement of students.
Provide training, group counseling and collaborative interventions with the school psychologist as needed.
Participate in Individual Education Program meetings with students and parents as needed.
Provide parent counseling and training.
Assist in developing positive behavioral intervention strategies.
Participate in crisis intervention and/or risk management.
May oversee the administrative and clinical supervision of school based therapist interns to ensure delivery of a thorough program.
Facilitates active and on-going training of interns, which may include collaboration with various universities.
Analyzes program effectiveness and implements strategies for improvements.
Communicates monthly with the Director of Special Education on caseload, program implementation, progress, program monitoring and evaluation.
Maintain documentation of service provision related to IEP monitoring, service logs, billing systems, and work time and submit weekly, unless otherwise specified.
Maintains knowledge of and abides by federal and state regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
