Position Title: Licensed Massage Therapist & Fitness Professional

Position Reports to: Director of Fitness

Employee Categories: Part Time Year Round

FLSA Category: Non- Exempt

The Country Club is looking for an energetic, passionate, experienced and professional massage therapist to join our fitness team in a dual capacity. The successful candidate(s) will possess excellent interpersonal capabilities, be dependable with a strong work ethic and have exceptional communication and customer service skills. Building member relationships and fostering a welcoming environment is also a key attribute of a fitness employee at The Country Club. We welcome those who have a passion for health and fitness, a love for educating others while also continuing to learn new skills to advance their personal repertoire. The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to Club members

  • Provide 60- or 90-minute massages for Club members

  • Design sessions around client's specific needs

  • Maintain and grow client schedule

  • Conduct massage appointments on a daily basis

  • Ensure a clean, safe and well-organized facility

  • Set up massage table and work area and maintain cleanliness and order throughout shift

  • Assist with keeping linens clean and tidy and replacing them between sessions

  • Maintain records and filing documentation

  • Comply with standards, regulations and guidelines set forth by The Country Club

Required Skills:

  • Must be a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Massachusetts

  • Proof of personal liability insurance

  • Necessary skills include Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Sports massage

  • Additional skills are welcomed but not required

  • The ideal candidate would also possess a professional fitness certification (for example: NSCA, CSCCa, SCCC, NASM, ACSM, or AFAA) in addition to also being a license Massage Therapist in the state of Massachusetts.

  • Current certification in CPR/AED/First Aid

  • Availability during mornings, mid-day, evening and/or weekends

  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience in massage therapy

  • Comfortable with performing massages on a diverse group of clients

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Uniforms will be provided

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Primary Responsibilities: * Building and growing a Tennis program with the help of the Director of Racquet Sports * Responsible for designing and running all women's and men's practices, as well as organize adult tournaments and events with the help of the Director. * Provide private and group lessons to juniors, ladies and men. * Help members with Racquet Shop sales, string rackets, and communicate often with the Director of Racquets regarding program status and strategies for growth. * Teach exclusively using 10 and under guidelines for juniors 4-10 years' old. * Director and fellow teaching professionals to form teams, make calls for player confirmation, send lineups and track weekly scores. * Responsible for taking minutes at weekly staff meetings. * Administrative duties including responding to emails/calls, booking courts and lessons, and light court maintenance. * Responsible for racquet stringing as necessary and promotion of Racquet shop sales. * Responsible for Junior Program Management and oversight. * Attentive to the general upkeep and appearance of the Racquet facilities. * As needed, assist membership in the Racquet Shop. * Hours may extend to evenings and weekends based on directives from the Director of Racquet sports and/or business needs. Required Skills: * 3 years professional teaching experience * Bachelor's degree * Must be able to relate to all ages and levels of junior players. * Must possess strong communication skills and be a team player, be willing to work nights and weekends, and have a very strong work ethic. * Certified tennis professional, would have at least four years of experience teaching in a private club setting * Experience teaching women's competitive teams and 10 and under tennis. * A minimum current playing level of 5.0 is required. * PPTA certification.
