The position is located at Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem, Oregon. The successful candidate will become part of the Physical Plant team.</p><p>The Oregon Department of Corrections (ODOC) seeks to employ career-oriented candidates and offers employment opportunities in a wide variety of challenging occupations. ODOC's mission is to promote public safety by holding offenders accountable for their actions and reducing the risk of future criminal behavior.</p><p>This position is represented by the Association of Oregon Corrections Employees union. This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.</p><p>What We Are Looking For</p><p>Your role</p><p>You will coordinate, instruct, and train skilled, semiskilled, and unskilled adults in custody (AIC) in the operation, maintenance and repair of physical plant systems, equipment, and building structures within a correctional institution and performs journey level plumbing duties.</p><p>Minimum Qualifications</p><p>A valid Oregon Plumber's License. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following convictions are likely to result in being disqualified for this position: felony convictions, computer theft, identify theft and fraud.
