Nature and Scope
Performs, repairs and maintenance of commercial HVAC systems.
Minimum eligibility requirements
2 years in Commercial HVAC required.
Must have applicable State licensing for commercial HVAC.
Comply with safety regulations.
Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public.
Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
Must have valid driver license.
Must pass criminal background check.
Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodation.
Strong working knowledge of how to diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC and Refrigeration units
Ability to determine and clearly identify cause of HVAC issues and identify proper materials and quantities needs to fix problem.
Provide timely and qualify repairs of products (heat pumps, heating ventilation and air conditioning, boilers).
Any other job duties assigned.
Working conditions (travel, hours, environment)
Scheduled hours; possible overtime.
Is subject to callback during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.).
Is subject to injury from falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc., through the workday, as well as to reactions from dust, disinfectants, and other air contaminants.
May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals.
Must be willing and available for emergency calls via cell phone.
Workspaces must be kept orderly and clean.
Travel required with occasional overnight stays.
