Job Title: Clinical Social Worker Job DescriptionThis is a grant funded position, applicants must have experience working with a diverse range of LGBTQIA-identified people. In this role, you will help identify recourses to patients and their families who come through the Emergency Department. Being aware of the particular ways in which Intimate Partner Violence effects members of sexual and gender minorities and have concrete ways to support patients experiencing Intimate Partner Violence is crucial.
Required skills & experience (the “must haves” to be considered)
-Master's degree
-LCSW-C licensure
-3-5 years of experience working with LGBTQIA community
-Knowledge of Cerner, Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills

VIEW JOBS 11/13/2019 8:40:44 PM 2020-02-11T20:40 <p>       <strong>LICENSED</strong> <strong>SOCIAL WORKER: FAMILY SERVICES PROGRAM MANAGER </strong></p> <p><strong>                                </strong>Full-Time, Fringe Benefits</p> <p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p> <p>Roberta’s House is currently seeking a Licensed Social Worker Family Service Program Manager to coordinate, plan, organize and provide comprehensive services and family support for the Grief Support Services of Roberta’s House. The Family Service Program Manager (PM) must have knowledge of culturally diverse populations and their needs; knowledge of community resources; ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing; knowledge of working with children and families experiencing trauma and knowledge of social work theories, therapies and techniques.  The PM stays abreast of <em>Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders Fifth Edition DSM-5.</em></p> <p> </p> <p>The majority of the children and families served are African Americans who reside in low-income high-crime communities. Roberta’s House teaches healthy coping skills that result in the reduction of depression, academic struggles and/or self-destructive behaviors, including  suicide, substance abuse, promiscuity, revengeful behavior, and gang involvement. The project boundaries served include the entire Baltimore City, Maryland limits and surrounding counties.  </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Duties</strong></p> <ul> <li>Complete initial intake and assessment of a family’s and/or  an individual’s needs enrolling in Roberta’s House services</li> <li>Diagnose and provide treatment to individuals with mental disorders and/or  various behavioral, emotional disturbance</li> <li>Develop a strategic plan for the agency’s Mental Health Outpatient Center</li> <li>Provide crisis and trauma  intervention services in culturally diverse urban and suburban communities</li> <li>Possess expert knowledge of  human development theories</li> <li>Refer families and individuals to community resources and provide follow up to assure family connections with referral sources</li> <li>Maintain appropriate records of services performed, referrals made and any assistance given to assure appropriate analysis and evaluation of the program.</li> <li>Prepare required program reports and analysis for grantors</li> <li>Develop and promote  partnerships with community stakeholders and Participate in program needs assessment,  </li> <li>Assist with training on grief and loss and facilitate peer support groups on grief and loss</li> <li>Plan and organize community special events and community activities and  provide field instruction for interns</li> <li>Represent Roberta’s House at professional, governmental and community events/meetings and</li> <li>Assist and facilitate activities for annual Erin’s Camp For Bereavement</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>Education</strong><strong>:  </strong>Master’s<strong> </strong>degree in Social Work from an accredited educational institution; additional training in counseling techniques, crisis intervention, victimology, homicide or grieving issues a plus.</p> <p><strong>License/Certification</strong><strong>:  •              LGSW, LCSW-C, LCPC,  LGPC</strong></p> <p><strong>Experience/Salary</strong><strong>:                        Licensed with three (3) years minimal experience</strong> working with adults, children and families experiencing trauma in an urban/suburban setting</p> <p> </p> <p>Valid driving license, private transportation and successful background check are conditions of employment.  A supplemental investigation may be required upon the anniversary date of employment, or as the employer deems appropriate. </p> <p> </p> <p><em>Roberta’s House is an equal opportunity employer without regard to race, national origin, sex, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other classification protected by law</em></p> Roberta's House Baltimore MD
