We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to join our outstanding team at our office in Evanston, IL.

Experience & Qualifications include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain a minimum caseload of 12 hours per week

  • Must be able to work a minimum of two weeknights and one weekend shift per month.

  • Must have full and unrestricted licensure

  • Must be able to assess clients to determine fit for outpatient treatment and establish a provisional diagnosis and initial treatment plan.

  • Conduct individual, group, couples, and/or family therapy following state regulations and professional licensure laws.

  • Complete all required clinical documentation to support services provided.

  • If necessary, provide crisis intervention services to clients to ensure risk levels are properly managed and triaged to a higher level of care as appropriate.

  • Maintain scheduling of all active clients to ensure clinical needs are being met.

  • Collect client payments seamlessly using our EHR, based on quotes received.

  • Maintain collaboration with the clients referring physician/professional to ensure optimum care and support level.

  • Participate in consultation or supervision following licensure laws.

Students are provided a nutritious snack and hot supper daily. Students are divided into groups by grade levels (K-1st, 2nd- 3rd, 4th- 5th &amp; 6th- 8th). Under the supervision of the After School Program Counselor, students will have the opportunity to participate in recreational activities, crafts, science experiments, sports, indoor and outdoor activities and so much more! </p><p>The After School Program has partnered with many different organizations within the Evanston area to present students new interests such as MiniChefz (cooking class with Northwestern), Dance/ theatre (Ed2 and Northshore Choir Society) and Girl Scouts. After a difficult school year, the Fleetwood- Jourdain After School Program looks to focus on fun for students after school! </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p><p>As an After School Counselor, employees are responsible for leading and implementing games, sports, arts &amp; crafts, science projects and recreational activities for students in a group setting. You will be responsible for a group of 10-12 campers between the school grade levels of Kindergarten- 5th or 6th- 8th. </p><p>As a Counselor, you will be expected to communicate directly with the Assistant Program Coordinator and/or other counselors with any suggestions, comments, concerns or ideas pertaining to students and the after school program. Counselors will provide customer service to parents and other patrons that enter the building.</p><p>The After School Counselor is responsible for the safety and well- being of students/ participants during the program. It is required for all Counselors to report any accidents and incidents to the Assistant Program Coordinator immediately, followed by completing the proper paperwork for documentation. </p><p>After School Counselor's are expected to be a role model to campers and exhibit constructive and inclusive participation for all participants. It is the duty of the Counselor to come to work daily with a positive attitude and create a safe, enjoyable and fun atmosphere for all that attend.</p><p>Gym shoes and comfortable clothing are recommended.<br></p><p>** The after school program runs solely on District 65's school year calendar. Hours vary based on in-service days, 1/2 days, non- attendance days and school breaks. </p><p>*Pay rates provided upon request </p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Current High School Student, High School Diploma or GED, College students, Graduate </li> <li>Previous experience working in an after school program setting (preferred but not required)</li> <li>Experience working with children</li> <li>Show maturity and skills needed to perform the job successfully</li> <li>Willing to fulfill and pursue the goals of the program </li> <li>Work directly with the Assistant Program Coordinator when coordinating activities</li> <li>Takes every effort to be a leader not only to the students, but peers as well</li> <li>Capable of assisting with student discipline and emergency situations</li> <li>Follow daily/ weekly schedules</li> <li>Inform/ communicate with the Assistant Program Coordinator of any incidents/ accidents or emergencies</li> <li>Notify Assistant Program Coordinator if they will be absent or late for work</li> <li>Ensure the safety of all children during programming</li> <li>Communicate effectively with parents on various subjects</li> <li>Encourage participation, teamwork from campers</li> <li>Report/ fills out incident and accident forms properly</li> <li>Has a positive, creative attitude</li> <li>Willing to run, jump, get dirty, and engage with students </li> <li>Has the ability to lift, pull, push/ move objects</li> <li>Complete/ attend required training(s) prior to start date</li> <li>Facilitate activities outdoors</li> <li>Ensure that camp equipment is properly handled, sanitazed and stored away in designated areas</li> </ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Chosen candidates will be required to provide proof of licenses, certifications, and education required for this position.
