Responsibilities LADC for Day Shift Opportunity Rivendell Behavioral Health Services is an 80-bed full-service behavioral healthcare acute care facility located in Benton, AR, that has been providing quality health care to the residents of Arkansas since 1985. Under the direction of the Clinical Director and in collaboration as a member of the Social Services department, the LADC performs assessments of the behavioral and therapeutic needs of the patients each day and accurately chart those observations of the patient. The LADC will formulate clear defined goals and objectives for their patients with a high understanding of treatment planning. The LADC will provide thorough knowledge of substance abuse dynamics, problems, and treatment modalities; working knowledge of psychological and physical symptomatology associated with chemical dependency, specific to patients' age and developmental stage.
Additionally, the LADC will be able to recognize and evaluate behavior, changing levels of depression, tendencies toward self-aggressive behavior, cognitive functioning deficits, learning deficits, and patient's capacity for self-care. The LADC will conduct Patient Care Monitoring as seen by monitoring the requirements for each patient and initiating a PCM when needed. This document is thorough and specific and provides guidance for treatment.
The LADC will demonstrate appropriate Therapeutic Boundaries with patients and coworkers. The LADC will report to the Clinical Director and will closely with Program Therapist, RNs, and MHAs as needed or directed. The LADC operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the LADC licensure and according to agency operating policies, protocols, and standards.

Qualifications Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in education, behavioral science or related field required.
Qualified candidates will have a Master's degree in a related field. Certified or licensed in the state of Arkansas as Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor, Licensed Associate Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor. Licensure must be maintained.
At least one year direct care experience working with patients with addiction &/or psychiatric issues. Current CPR or BLS certification. (offered at facility) Current Handle with Care training.
