This position is located at the Center Library.
The hours of operation are Mon, Wed, and Fri: 10am to 5pm; Tue and Thur: 11am to 7pm; Sat: 1pm to 5pm

Works the front desk and greets customers as they enter the library.
Shelves library materials, prepares displays, programs activities, answers basic reference questions, and assists customers in locating materials.
Performs simple maintenance on the library's automated systems.
Assists in maintaining accountability records and in performing shelf inventories.
Performs basic/copy cataloging, ordering/receiving/processing and de-acquisitioning of library materials.
Registers patrons, charges/discharges materials, processes overdues and reserves, assists with interlibrary loans.

Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
Must be willing and available to work Saturdays.
Attend Team Member Orientation withing 30 days of employment.
One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade
Two years of education above high school
A combination of specialized experience and education that equates to 100% of the qualification requirements.
One year of experience working as a library technician and assisting library patrons (volunteer experience will be considered).
Working knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System.
