NBAPOSN Title Working Title Library Technician I Brief Position Overview
The Library Technician I provides high quality customer service to library patrons at the Circulation & Information desk. This position supervises the Coffee Cart and Copy Center by acting as the lead worker of these library units for staffing during library hours of operation and by providing training and supervision for student workers for the Coffee Cart.

General Statement
The Library Technician I provides high quality customer service to library patrons at the Circulation & Information desk. This position supervises the Coffee Cart and Copy Center by acting as the lead worker of these library units for staffing during library hours of operation and by providing training and supervision for student workers for the Coffee Cart.
Duties and Responsibilities
1.Supervise the Coffee Cart: Supervise and help train student workers; help to cross train library employees; monitor supplies and keep inventory; oversee daily operations, including safety practices; process daily deposits; regularly maintain equipment
2.Supervise the Copy Center: Help to cross train and work with library employees to fulfill print orders; monitor supplies and keep inventory; oversee daily operations; process deposits and departmental invoicing; regularly maintain equipment
3.Work at Circulation desk: Help patrons with library accounts and materials; answer phone calls
4.Provide technology support to patrons
5.Provide information to patrons in person and by email or phone
6.Other duties as assigned that support the mission of the library and of MSU-Northern

Assist the Library Services Manager with archive projects
Required Qualifications
1.Experience with and enthusiasm for working as a collaborative team member
2.Associate's Degree; persons with equivalent education and/or experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties of this position will also be considered
3.Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
1.Bachelor's Degree; Degrees best suited to this position relate to business and library science
2.Work experience in a library setting
3.Experience with office equipment, particularly copiers and printers
4.Sales experience
5.Experience using Microsoft Office Suite

6.Must be able to meet deadlines.
Special Requirements Physical Demands
1.Must be able to lift and move 35 pounds from different types and levels of shelving
2.Must be able to work while standing for long periods of time
3.This position requires working in a dusty environment at times

Title IX Coordinator
The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the University's compliance with federal and state discrimination and harassment laws, including Title IX. The Title IX Coordinator oversees compliance with the University's Discrimination and Grievance Policy. Specifically, the Title IX Coordinator:
Coordinates educational programs and trainings regarding discrimination and harassment prevention for students and employees;
Responds to and seeks to resolve reports of discrimination and harassment following the Procedures;
Provides information about and, if requested, assists with criminal reporting;
Provides information about resources for obtaining advocacy, healthcare, and counseling services; and
