General Statement
Montana State University-Northern (MSUN), invites applications for a full-time professional for our Library Services Manager position. The successful candidate will begin immediately and work onsite in the Vande Bogart Library, our university library, at our campus in Havre, Montana.

The Vande Bogart Library seeks a friendly and collaborative individual for the Library Services Manager position to join a team dedicated to fulfilling the core values of the institution in support of lifelong learning, collaboration, authenticity, and stewardship. The Library Services Manager position is key to providing and maintaining core library services and access to the university's educational resources for all patrons of the library. This is a critical role in the administration and maintenance of the campus archives.
The Library Services Manager reports to the Director of the Libary. The position is a full-time, 12-month position following the fiscal year calendar. The successful candidate will begin immediately. Early career librarians and professionals are encouraged to apply.
This fully benefited position will receive a robust benefits package including the following:

4.Professionals participate in TIAA CREF Retirement unless they have prior active membership in a recognized state retirement system. Employee contributes 7.044% of gross pay and employer contributes 5.956% of gross pay. Immediate vesting.
5.Montana University System Tuition Waivers for Professional staff & dependents. Employees 3/4 time or more receive a waiver of tuition for any Montana University System. Or, after 4 months, their dependents are eligible for MUS Dependent Tuition Waiver Benefit and is 50% of the residential tuition.
Duties and Responsibilities
1.Technical Services Manager (acquisition and processing of new print and electronic books, print serials, catalog maintenance, and book mending or repair)
2.Public Services Manager (Circulation Management/Reserve Management/Stack Management)
3.Archives and Museum Manager (preservation of campus archives and museum artifacts, organizing museum programs and exhibits, scheduling museum tours; Shared with Library Director)
4.Collection Development (shared with Instruction & Reference Librarian and Library Director)
5.Oversee Coffee Cart operation
6.Oversee Copy Center operation
7.Supervise 1.0 FTE Staff (Library Tech II)
8.Manage student workers

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree ideally with a focus in library sciences; persons with equivalent education and/or experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties of this position will also be considered
Experience with and enthusiasm for working as a collaborative team member
Knowledge of technical and public services operation in a Library
Experience in a library setting
Preferred Qualifications
Masters of Library Science degree from an American Library Association accredited program
Managerial experience in supervising employees
Knowledge of business operations and budgeting
Knowledge of processes and procedures for preservation of print, film and artifacts in archival collections

Title IX Coordinator
The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the University's compliance with federal and state discrimination and harassment laws, including Title IX. The Title IX Coordinator oversees compliance with the University's Discrimination and Grievance Policy. Specifically, the Title IX Coordinator:
Coordinates educational programs and trainings regarding discrimination and harassment prevention for students and employees;
