Librarian/Media Specialist

Job Description:

1.0 FTE - Certified Teacher

• Hold current CT State certification Library Media Specialist (062)

• Supervise and manage the high school library

• Collaborate and co-teach with teachers to integrate digital literacy and information literacy skills into all content areas

• Facilitate high school internship program

• Secondary school experience preferred

• Familiar with Common Core State Standards

• Skilled at integrating technology with 21st Century learning skills

• Demonstrated excellence in teaching

• Organizational skills

• Must be flexible and be able to work with others

• Digital literate

• Ability to use data to make instructional decisions

• Ability to collaborate with colleagues to improve the learning of all students; ability to positively engage students and families in the learning process

• Proactive team player and effective communicator

• Other duties as determined by the principal

Salary per OEA Collective Bargaining Agreement
