Summary
This position is dual role combining the library and testing center. The Librarian is responsible for library services, including proctoring the tests for FAA exams through PSI, while maintaining compliance with all PSI and FAA regulations.
Essential Functions
Oversee and complete public and technical services, library books and video collection development.
Coordinate and manage projects and maintains statistics
Oversees instruction to students, instructors and staff on retrieving online resources, to include periodicals, journals, and government documents
Teaching and training staff and students how to perform effective online searches
Collaborate with career services to promote student testing and licensing
Maintain the library and learning common area at the level of acceptance for State and accrediting agencies
Maintaining and updated knowledge of US Copyright laws
Keeping, compiling and reporting library statistics
Coordinating tutoring resources for academic support
Develop electronic, print collections, subscriptions in accordance with accreditation standards for faculty and student requests
Maintain and order supplies for as needed
Perform other essential duties as it pertains to the position as assigned by supervisor
Run reports of daily, monthly, and transfer sales for campus locations
Proctor FAA exams using the PSI computerized software
Maintain compliance with all FAA and PSI regulations
Accurate pre-test processing and validation of test applicants
Maintain accurate and up to date applicant records
Be able to respond to FAA questions and inquires pertaining to testing

Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
High School diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree in library science or information systems required from a college or university
3 - 5 years of administration experience in the field, experience in both public and technical service areas
Prior experience in planning, implementing and evaluating library services as well as training experience preferred
