Job Description / Essential Elements: Print

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:This position carries the responsibility for the administration and supervision of the school library media center program.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Plans and implements a program for the evaluation, selection, acquisition, and arrangement of materials and equipment for maximum use.Supervises the organization and ensures the accessibility of the collection of print and non-print media through cataloging, classification, and processing of the materials.Develops a climate that encourages students and teachers to make optimum use of the school library media center and its resources.Plans cooperatively with faculty members to coordinate materials and library activities with curriculum programs, units, and textbooks.Assists curriculum committees in selection of appropriate materials for resource units and curriculum guides.Instructs students in research techniques and learning skills.Guides users in reading, listening, and viewing.Keeps accurate records of amounts spent in library media center budget accounts.Develops, proposes, and justifies budget requests for the school library media program.Participates in the selection and evaluation of personnel for the school library media program.Provides staff development programs for teachers in the evaluation, selection, production, and use of print and non-print materials and equipment in implementing curriculum.Supervises the organization and maintenance of the school's textbook collection.Other duties as assigned.CREDENTIAL:Valid California teaching credential with a specialization in Librarianship.EDUCATION:Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Library Science.Course work in audio-visual education or instructional technology.EXPERIENCE:Three years of successful teaching or school library experience desirable. Preferably with a multi-ethnic student population.PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to work well with people, skills in organization, ability to supervise, interest toward innovation, outgoing and optimistic temperament.SUPERVISION:Responsible to: Principal (or appropriate school administrator).Responsible for: Assigned certificated, classified, and/or student staff.

As a Return Logistics Center Merchandise Processor (RLC) Merchandise Processor, you will facilitate moving and processing of product through the Reverse Logistics Center for appropriate receiving, routing/sorting, preparing for resale through triage & data wiping, grading condition for resale, and fulfillment in the Best Buy Secondary Markets Channels. Your responsibilities will include making sure our assets are evaluated for condition to sell to our customers while contributing to a safe and clean work environment. The responsibilities listed below are encompassing of a RLC Merchandise Processor but may vary by departmental assignment. Essential Functions * Loading totes of product to racks to be received * Receiving of product into systems for appropriate routing * Sorting product to appropriate locations based on sort locations * Utilizing RF scanners as needed for product routing * Triage product for functionality and assessment of visible condition to determine resale eligibility. * Data wipe all devices utilizing approved tools and processes. * Clean and replace product components. Does not execute repair. Actions include; removal/changing of Faceplates, headphone tips, camera lens, chargers, and other approved components. * Execute and enter triage findings in both internal processing systems for sale listing. * Put away and pick product for storage and fulfillment to customers * Prepare product for shipment through boxing/wrapping accordingly * Protect product from damage throughout the process * Maintain a clean work area by removing empty pallets, sweeping and cleaning up boxes and other debris.
