Plans, provides and supervises the delivery of library services to children, teens, parents and caregivers. Supervises one professional and two paraprofessional employees; prepares and presents children's classes/other activities for children and teens in person and virtually.
Provides collection development, research, readers' advisory services and outreach to local schools and the community; participates in long-range planning and committee work. Oversees the Summer Reading Program and building with regard to the health/safety of staff and members as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree in Library Science (MLS) accredited by the American Library Association (ALA); minimum of one (1) year of professional library experience.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE: Training/supervising personnel for more than one (1) year; in public library research/collection development; planning library activities for children/teens/parents/caregivers; overseeing a reading program (must specify on application). Also desirable: Two (2) or more years of professional library experience; bilingual (English/Spanish/Creole).
Ability to lift 30 pounds preferred.
