Salary Range: $68,457.53, grant funded by Research Foundation (non-negotiable)

Duration: Calendar Year (this position follows a 12-month schedule)

Brief Description of Duties:

SUNY Morrisville is seeking a Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) Program Director, located at our Norwich, NY satellite campus.

The Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) supports at risk middle and high school students in their academic, social, and emotional development. LPP connects students to various services in order to promote high school completion which leads to enrollment in higher educational institutions and/or career placement. The LPP program at SUNY Morrisville serves four school districts in Chenango County with the Program Director housed at the SUNY Morrisville Norwich Campus.

The LPP Project Director will provide direct oversight of the implementation and administration of the SUNY Morrisville Liberty Partnerships Program, ensuring compliance with the agreements in place with local partners, SUNY Morrisville and ultimately NYSED.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Will serve as the program liaison between the Liberty Partnerships and NYSED.

  • Will serve on state-wide committees as assigned.

  • Responsible for ensuring the goals, objectives, and activities set forth for the Liberty Partnerships Program are achieved.

  • Will serve as a liaison between the four partnering school districts and the college, RF, and NYSED.

  • In coordination with school policies and procedures, will support the counseling needs of students and families.

  • Will coordinate, in collaboration with the program's long-time Professional Counseling Coordinator, regular meetings with program staff to debrief challenging student and family situations as well as address strategies needed to work with students in the future.

  • Works closely with LPP staff to make decisions pertaining to program development and implementation.

  • Provide additional supervision for in-school and after school programming as well as other out-of-school times (i.e. field trips).

  • Monitor progress of any and all student assessment tools and strategies (i.e. Student Success Rubrics, Personal Learning Plans, etc.)

  • Mentor and assist the Clerk II in supporting the administrative needs of program staff.

  • Attend required SUNY Morrisville meetings and activities.

  • Assist with the hiring, orientation and annual evaluations of program staff.

  • Oversee the reporting and recordkeeping responsibilities of the program.

  • Oversee of the program budget and the approval of program expenditures.

  • Meet monthly with the Assistant Director to assist in providing a continuity between programming at all four partnering school districts.

  • Coordinate and host program Advisory Committee meetings.

  • Coordinate efforts and resources of participating school districts and CBO's and serve on committees as appropriate.

  • Provide and seek out necessary staff development training(s) and opportunities for program staff.

  • Provide home visits when necessary.

  • Perform other duties as determined by workplan and/or identified student needs.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field.

  • 3+ years of related administrative experience with projects or programs involving external sponsors.

  • Superior coordination and interpersonal skills for liaison functions with various administrative units and external agencies.

  • Demonstrated experience in fiscal management and budgetary oversight.

  • 3+ years of experience working with 5th - 12th grade students.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree

  • Ability to oversee multiple sites in-person

  • Knowledge/Experience in Windows and Google based computer applications

  • Experience working with youth in rural communities

  • Grant writing experience
