The Chair will lead/expand development of cancer/oncology research in the College of Nursing. The Chair has endowment support and a generous start-up package and will have the opportunity to collaborate with other researchers in established centers throughout the University, Tampa General Hospital, Sarasota Memorial Hospital, and other area partners. The endowed professorship is a 5-year appointment with option to renew. As Associate Director of Population Sciences at the Cancer Institute at Tampa General Hospital the incumbent will develop and maintain oncology clinical research, interface with other cancer programs.The incumbent will mentor faculty, clinician scientists, and students, participate in interdisciplinary grant applications for centers and training programs, and maintain individual extramural funding.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:MINIMUM:* Candidates must hold an earned doctorate in nursing or a master's in nursing with an earned doctorate in another relevant field with credentials consistent with the granting of tenure at the rank of professor. * Must be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Florida. * Expected to have a record of research relevant to cancer and/or related fields, history of federal funding, demonstrated leadership with building and managing a research enterprise, commitment to excellence in teaching, and a vision that will position the College and the Cancer Institute prominently at the national stage.PREFERRED:* Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. * Earned doctorate in nursing. * Experience collaborating/with a national cancer center. * Experience with T32 training programs. * Candidates must submit in a single file 1).
