Continental Automotive Group is looking for a Level 1 IT Technician.

Our Level 1 Techs are an important and highly valued part of our team. As a Level 1 Technician, you would spend your day ensuring our employees have the tools they need to do their jobs to their fullest and quickly resolving technical issues they encounter. We are a very busy team and the ideal candidate would be highly motivated, proactive, and a master problem solver.

This is an internal customer service position! We create an excellent support experience for our co-workers within Continental Automotive Group's many locations so that they are happy to call us to assist them when they encounter an issue.

Requirements:

  • CompTIA A+ Certification is required.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs to chest height.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

  • Sometimes all day.
  • Ability to crawl under desks
  • Sometimes all day.
  • Reliable transportation - you will be driving between several Austin locations.

  • 40 hours per week required, overtime available.

  • Available to work Monday-Friday from 7:30 to 16:30.

Example job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Create, update, and close tickets using our web-based ticketing system, Spiceworks.

  • Reset end user passwords.

  • Move workstations and manage cables.

  • Install peripheral devices.

  • Troubleshoot Windows 10 issues.

  • Install and Update programs on Windows 10.

  • Perform PC Hardware upgrades and replacements.

  • Deploy new PCs to end users.

  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.

Ideal candidates will be familiar with:

  • Computer hardware and basic hardware troubleshooting.

  • Windows 7 and Windows 10.

  • Windows Event Logs.

  • PC imaging and deployment.

  • Ping and basic network troubleshooting.

  • WiFi operation and basic troubleshooting.

  • The laser printing process and basic printer troubleshooting and maintenance.

  • Microsoft Active Directory.

  • GSuite.

  • iOS Devices.

Compensation and Perks:

  • $14.50 per hour, with pay increases when approved certifications are obtained.
  • 100% reimbursement for all approved certification exams.
