The Lending Team Leader provides oversight, guidance and coaching to an assigned team of loan officers. The position ensures that the team is generating new business, effectively managing the portfolio, and ensuring adherence to policies. The Lending Team Leader contributes to the profitability and growth of the Bank by building, developing and managing new and existing client relationships.
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Equivalent combination of education and/or experience that fulfill the requirements of the position may be considered.
Related military education/experience may be used as a substitute for education or work experience.
Seven years of progressively responsible work experience in a financial institution to include:
five years of direct commercial, commercial real estate or construction lending experience required.
Sales/account management experience required.
One year of supervisory experience preferred.
Licenses & Certifications
In addition to the above requirement, this position requires:
Expertise in various areas of lending to include the use of special programs such as SBA, USDA, BIA and AIDEA.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in the English language and in an effective manner with internal and external customers.
Make effective and persuasive speeches and presentation on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Sound understanding of business law and practices. Must have a strong sense of financial analysis.
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make decisions based on those conclusions.
Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract variables.
