Ø Three years of work experience in operating personal computer equipment, preferably in a law office, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS

This position requires applicants to successfully pass a written job knowledge test and complete an interview. Test results will be sent out by the Department of Human Resources after the test results have been analyzed and compiled.

Candidates who pass the exam will be selected for an interview. The interviewed bidders receiving a passing score on the exam and possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected in seniority order according to the collective bargaining agreement.

Preference will be given to external candidates possessing the following:

  • Previous experience providing administrative support in a law firm or legal setting.

  • Previous experience creating and maintaining spreadsheets to track pending assignments.

  • Previous experience organizing and maintaining confidential and administrative files.

  • Previous experience scheduling meetings and maintaining the supervisor's calendar.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
