JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW The Immigration Specialist is responsible for co-managing the immigration vendor relationship, overseeing and coordinating internal and client immigration cases, and providing subject matter expertise. They will also help with immigration policy changes and creating publicly available content (such as blog posts, articles, etc.). ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES * Coordinate internal and TriNet Clients' immigration cases; * Co-manage and monitor third-party vendor relationships to maintain SLAs and service quality; * Support the development of company immigration policies; * Conduct ongoing risk analysis, such as compliance with federal and state laws, regulatory agencies, and third-party clients, and advise department Director of any high priority risks; * Track and convey immigration alerts, policy/regulatory changes, and development as necessary; * Initiate cases for corporate employees, through TriNet platform or INSZoom, coordinating consultations with vendor, assisting in case documentation intake, and resolving service issues; * Finances management (data entries in Serengeti, filling and finalizing financial agreements with clients, coordinate invoicing, invoices reconciliation, accounts receivable, accounts payable, tracking and reporting, invoices reviews and validation, etc.) * Support immigration vendor with regard to TriNet platform or INSZoom technical difficulties, and conveying general company service policy and procedure; * Support TriNet employees with regard to: initiating cases, TriNet platform or INSZoom technical difficulties, coordinating consultations with vendor, assisting in case documentation intake, case status updates, and resolving service issues; * Support TriNet employees and clients with regard to partnerships with global organization and PEO service providers; * Support the TriNet International Services team with regard to: maintaining internal immigration file compliance, upholding timely post-filing steps, and working with the EE team to convey I-9 verification procedure and compliance to foreign national employees and clients. * Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the director's discretion. JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): * None Experience: * Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in business immigration as a paralegal, global mobility specialist, or in an HR capacity; * Experience coordinating Permanent Labor Certification cases from a paralegal or HR standpoint a plus. Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Strong writing and typing skills; * Must be technologically savvy; * Must be detail oriented and comfortable wearing multiple hats; * Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, free-form environment, adapting quickly to new processes, and operating independently; * Must be proactive and a team player. Preferred: * Experience coordinating non-immigrant (H, L, TN, O, E, J, or F visa) cases * Experience with INSZoom or other immigration case management software * Experience working with spreadsheets through Microsoft Excel, Airtable, or other programs WORK ENVIRONMENT/OTHER INFORMATION (Travel required, physical requirements, on-call schedules, etc.) * Minimal travel (5%-10%) required * Work in clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting * The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
