Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company's R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our legal department and ensuring that our legal processes and procedures are efficient and effective. You will also be responsible for docketing for our IP department. We are looking for a driven and innovative individual who can help our team organize and prioritize tasks so that together we maximize each team member's time spent on high value activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the legal department to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.

  • Lead selection, implementation, and management of an IP docketing platform

  • Assist legal members with managing and monitoring legal budgets and expenses, including leading selection, implementation, and management of a legal billing platform to drive responsible spending.

  • Develop and implement effective processes and procedures to enhance and streamline legal operations, including partnering with internal cross-functional team members as well as outside counsel and vendors when needed to problem solve.

  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Manage legal projects and initiatives to ensure timely and successful completion.

  • Ensure all legal documents and records are organized and maintained accurately, including standardizing processes, practices, nomenclature, and templates where appropriate.

  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on legal operations performance, budgeting, and other metrics.

  • Conduct training and workshops for legal team members to enhance their knowledge and skills.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, outside counsel, and vendors.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in legal operations.

  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and regulations.

  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all legal operations.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the legal department.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of legal operations experience, including IP docketing management.

  • Capable of communicating effectively with various audiences, including senior management and third parties

  • Experience in turning business requirements into automated system tasks and workflows with flexibility in adapting to evolving business needs.

  • Experience managing legal systems/workflows and cross-functional groups that work with legal departments.

  • Willingness to master tools used in supporting legal team members.

Preferred Skills:

  • Sigma six green belt or higher certification.

  • Experience setting up and managing US and Global Transparency reporting systems.

  • Managing Enterprise training platforms to deliver legal and compliance

The expected salary range for this role is $136,000 to $165,000. An individual's position within the range may be influenced by multiple factors, including skills and experience in a role, overall performance, individual impact and contributions, tenure, and market dynamics. Base salary is one part of the overall total rewards program at RevMed, which includes competitive cash compensation, robust equity awards, strong benefits, and significant learning and development opportunities.
