We are seeking a collaborative, motivated, high performing and organized Legal Operations Associate with a strong service mindset, adaptability, collaboration skills, a love for learning, and a passion for innovating legal service delivery to join our dynamic legal team. This role will play a crucial part in streamlining our legal processes, improving efficiency, effectiveness, and supporting our legal department in delivering exceptional legal services.

This position is hybrid and will be located out of our Winston Salem, NC headquarters.

Process Management:

  • Optimize legal workflows and processes.

  • Develop, implement and document standardized processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Data Management:

  • Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data governance standards and best practices and protect sensitive legal data by implementing appropriate security measures.

  • Maintain, cleanse and improve legal data and records from various sources to ensure accuracy and accessibility.

  • Perform data mining and analytics to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for improvement.

  • Develop legal data dashboards and data visualization to extract insights and inform data-driven legal strategic decision making and customer satisfaction.

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to legal operations, such as matter turnaround times, legal spend, and contract negotiation efficiency.

Project Management:

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.

Outside Counsel Management:

  • Assist in managing relationships with external service providers, including law firms, by conducting invoice reviews and analysis, and ensuring compliance with outside billing guidelines.

Technology Implementation:

  • Evaluate and implement legal technology tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

  • Provide training and support to legal team members on the use of legal technology.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including data privacy and cybersecurity regulations.

  • Assist with internal audits and compliance reviews.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • 3-5 years of experience in legal operations or a similar role

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Knowledge and experience in legal data analytics and tools

  • Proficiency in Gsuite (including Google Charts), Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel)

  • Proficiency in Salesforce and legal technology tools (e.g., contract management software, e-billing)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a corporate legal department

  • Experience with the execution of software integrations
