As Legal Coordinator you'll:

  • Assist and provide a wide range of legal support and administration to the legal team. Support key functions of the legal team at Home Instead, Inc. with internal colleagues and with franchise owners. Maintain, oversee, organize and develop key legal processes and documentation within the legal department.

  • Provide administrative support to the legal team.

  • Coordinate the contracting process for Home Instead, Inc. and affiliated entities, including obtaining and maintaining signed copies of all contracts through an electronic contracts database.

  • Assist the legal team with tracking and assignment of project through an electronic project management system.

  • Assist the Director and Associate General Counsel with tracking and analyzing key team performance indicators and information critical to establishing and maintaining the return on investment (ROI) metrics for the legal team.

  • Draft and revise legal documents, including non-disclosure documents and amendments to agreements.

  • Assist in the facilitation of franchise agreement renewal process.

  • Assist in the facilitation of franchise disclosure document renewal process.

  • Provide litigation support and prepare litigation documents.

  • Assist with maintaining Home Instead, Inc.'s and its affiliated entities' trademark portfolios and assist with trademark infringement matters as needed.

  • Assist as needed with certain aspects of franchise transfer of ownership, including drafting organizational change documents

Education, Experience and

Required Skills:
  • High School diploma or the equivalent required.

  • Paralegal degree or related experience preferred.

  • Five years of administrative experience, preferably in a legal assistant role, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.

  • MS Office Suite experience required.

  • Experience with contract tracking software and electronic signature software preferred.

  • Experience with Redbooth or other project management tool preferred.

  • Understand and uphold the policies and procedures established by Home Instead Senior Care and the related role to the Legal Department.

  • Ability to oversee projects from beginning to end, including incorporation of new ideas and best practices and evaluation of processes and procedures in order to recommend improvements and changes when appropriate.

  • Maintain confidentiality of any legal matters.

  • Strong organization, proofreading and communication skills.

  • Ability to find joy and fulfillment in supporting and providing service to others.

  • Ability to work evenings or weekends as required.

Job Description Summary Responsible for the timely and accurate posting of monies to consumer loan, and line of credit products. Reviews for fees, overpayments, and returns for both real estate and non-real estate products to ensure compliance with federal regulations while providing a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: researching and processing maintenance transactions to resolve issues from customer, branch, or third party inquiries including by phone, in written communications and in work orders. Extensive work on the telephone with use of headset, and computer data entry and inquiry. Essential Job Functions * Processes payments to consumer loan and line products ensuring compliance with the Bank's policies and applicable regulations by reviewing Incoming Wire Transfers, NFG Reports, and Customer Checks/Money Orders for credit to the appropriate account and prepares general ledger offset ticket. Works in conjunction with the Accounting and Reporting Group as necessary to ensure all accounts meet documented procedural requirements and guidelines. * Processes monetary transactions in varying amounts to payoff consumer loan and line products ensuring compliance with the Bank's policies and applicable regulations by reviewing Incoming Wire Transfers, NFG Reports, BOW Dealers and Customer Checks/Money Orders for credit to the appropriate account, prepares general ledger offset ticket and when necessary queues refunds for accounts. On an as needed basis, completes an in-depth review of the account to ensure funds are properly credited and any overpayment is released in the proper time frame. * Performs the necessary research to validate proper level of authorization on requests prior to processing monetary fee waiver transactions in varying amounts. * Resolves customer impact issues by communicating and participating in problem resolutions within the CPS Payment Processing Group. Cross trains to assist Transaction Processing with Back Counter Scanning Process. Determines appropriate refund amount on lines of credit that are paid in full and generates refund checks. * Notepads/documents all conversations held with customer, branch or third party updating any information regarding work processed. * Reviews, logs, and submits daily personal tracking log. * Opens, sorts, and processes incoming mail. Other Job Duties * Provides additional support to other back office groups in DLP, CRES, CPS, Call Center, Collections, Transaction Processing and Branch groups on an as needed basis. * Performs other duties as assigned. Required Experience * Requires limited job knowledge of systems and procedures. * Follows basic work routines and standards. * Typically does not require prior experience.
