Our legal assistants handle complex tasks that are critical to the success of our law offices. As a part of our team, you'll rely on your prior experience to provide administrative support to our attorneys through preparation of legal documents and correspondences, such as motions and pleadings. Experience using an electronic case management system - while not required - will help while managing attorney calendars, scheduling and coordinating examination(s) for defense experts, and communicating with clients regarding relevant aspects of the case. Among other things, you'll spend time maintaining files, answering phone calls, along with other assigned administrative duties.

Must-have qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • One year prior legal work experience in a business or legal environment supporting a professional team

Preferred skills

  • Insurance defense or personal injury experience

  • Time management and organizational skills required to provide support to a large group of professionals

  • Typing skills with special attention to grammar and accuracy

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining highly confidential information

  • Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills

  • Plymouth Meeting or Scranton

  • Work from home days possible

Compensation

  • $22.75 - $24.15 per hour

  • Gainshare bonus up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance

For more information, visit www.inovio.com. Job summary The Legal Assistant will assist the contract management assistant, paralegals and attorneys in the day to day administrative duties. Essential job functions and duties * Serve as back-up for Contracts Management Assistant, including contract intake (via ServiceNow/Contract Intake System (CIS)/Cobblestone & the Contracts Inbox) and day-to-day workflow process in completing legal requests * Triage and prioritize all incoming legal requests including collection of additional supporting documentation & research, prior to team member assignment. * Responsible for timely collection of signatures on approved legal documents thru DocuSign * File and organize documents as directed. Upload fully executed agreements into the contract management database, including documentation of all pertinent details within the database for reporting purposes. * Generate reports from Contract Intake System and contract management database as requested. * Deliver outstanding customer service on a day-to-day basis for all clients of the Legal Department's services and ensure that any issues or complaints are dealt with, and resolved, in an effective and timely manner. * Perform various administrative tasks, including but not limited to, managing calendars, sort mail, draft and edit documents and obtain supporting documents for projects as requested. * Assist with tracking invoices and department spend against the budget. * Other various administrative duties as required. Minimum requirements * Minimum requirements include a High school diploma with a Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. * Qualified candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office. * Experience with database management preferred. * Some experience working in an office setting. Experience working in a law office with familiarity in intellectual property law is a plus. * The ability to manage highly sensitive information is required, as are excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to work independently with limited supervision. * Must be Highly organized, disciplined individual with a strong commitment to quality.
