Product Liability:

Process claims receive notices, open files; generate information requests, receive, assess and organize documentation; generate denials and positions and negotiate settlement for <$10k claims;="" prepare="">$10k file summaries for supervisor's review

Customer Service - field inquiries from homeowners and insurance adjusters

Evidence Handling issue requests, coordinate examination with engineers, photograph and return evidence in the plant

Database data entry, queries and bi-monthly report generation

Releases / Check Requests prepare for submittal

Litigation ensure file documentation is complete for supervisor; assist with document request production

Product Knowledge attend product training sessions; work with owners manuals to become familiar with products and potential product issues; work closely with engineers

Quarterly File Review review files for statute expirations and inactivity


Assist in locating proof of use materials

Contract Management:

Scan documents to shared drives; identify basic contract provisions (term, effective date, signors, etc.)


Prepare weekly to do and status updates

Assist with report and presentation prep

Additional Considerations: Excellent written and oral communication skills; significant amount of document processing, phone interaction and computer work (proficient with Word, Excel, Access Database); requires good time management and ability to work independently and adapt to shifting priorities; comfortable in manufacturing versus law firm or corporate environment (less formal, spend time in the plant, etc.);

Required Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Restaurant, retail or customer service management experience. * Demonstrated sales building, P&L experience, recruiting, training, and basic computer skills. * Math aptitude. * Must be at least 18 years of age.
