Product Liability:

Process claims receive notices, open files; generate information requests, receive, assess and organize documentation; generate denials and positions and negotiate settlement for <$10k claims;="" prepare="">$10k file summaries for supervisor's review

Customer Service - field inquiries from homeowners and insurance adjusters

Evidence Handling issue requests, coordinate examination with engineers, photograph and return evidence in the plant

Database data entry, queries and bi-monthly report generation

Releases / Check Requests prepare for submittal

Litigation ensure file documentation is complete for supervisor; assist with document request production

Product Knowledge attend product training sessions; work with owners manuals to become familiar with products and potential product issues; work closely with engineers

Quarterly File Review review files for statute expirations and inactivity


Assist in locating proof of use materials

Contract Management:

Scan documents to shared drives; identify basic contract provisions (term, effective date, signors, etc.)


Prepare weekly to do and status updates

Assist with report and presentation prep

Additional Considerations: Excellent written and oral communication skills; significant amount of document processing, phone interaction and computer work (proficient with Word, Excel, Access Database); requires good time management and ability to work independently and adapt to shifting priorities; comfortable in manufacturing versus law firm or corporate environment (less formal, spend time in the plant, etc.);

GENERAL FUNCTION The Optical Assistant Team Lead ensures the delivery of the Target Optical Way and the Guest Experience. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Partners with the Optical Team Lead to build plans to deliver profitable store sales measured by current objectives. * Delivers the daily sales goal by flawless execution of the Guest Experience behaviors. * Ensures, influences and inspires the team to deliver a simple, fun and in-style fashion experience by modeling the Target Optical Way. * Provides floor leadership to ensure that guests will receive a "best in class" experience by providing guidance and direction to team members. * Creates, lives and teaches the culture to build brand awareness by attracting new guests daily from the Host to Optical. * Supports the Optical Team Lead with maintaining professional business partnerships with the Target Optical doctor and Target Host. * Proactively recruits, interviews, trains, develops, motivates and retains Brand right Optical Team Members (OTM). * Supports OTL with Team Member accountability by providing Team Members with Coaching and Development to deliver the Guest Experience through regular touch bases. * Supports OTL to ensure eSchedule, Guest Retention, Guest Driving Behaviors and all current Brand initiatives are in compliance. * Partners with OTL to ensure all operating policies and procedures are followed at the highest level to include merchandising and store presentation, timely and accurate implementation of approved marketing programs and promotions, the accurate completion of all sales transactions, and utilization of all sales strategies and resources. * Models the Target Optical Personal Style Dress Code.
