Seeking an experienced Legal Assistant for our law firm which primarily represents families and children with disabilities to obtain appropriate educational services. Key Areas of Responsibility:
Utilize Client intake software to manage and return new client intake calls. Manage new client onboarding, including, drafting initial documents, obtaining appropriate records, and setting up computer-based files. Scan, review, name, and organize client educational, medical records and files utilizing office naming and organization protocols.
Work with attorneys, education and other professionals, and clients to set multi-party meetings. Drafting, editing, and reviewing legal communications. Preparing and filing administrative documents.
Review and respond to client, Office of Administrative Hearings and opposing party inquiries in a timely manner. Independently track, follow up, and complete assigned tasks and requests to outside agencies for information Requirements: Good writing skills and attention to detail in all written communications.
Ability to organize and review large sets of documents utilizing Adobe Acrobat. Strong organizational, clerical, and phone skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Experience using cloud-based legal and office platforms such as CLIO.
