Overview and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for assisting and relieving the SVP and other legal personnel of administrative and clerical work.

  • Assist in the preparation of all work products, including providing clerical assistance to others in the department on an as needed basis

  • Compose and generate letters and memos

  • Back-up proof reading and editing on documents prepared by attorneys

  • Internal and external distribution of Agreements and correspondence

  • Answer phones, schedule appointments/confirm meetings/maintain daily schedules, photocopy material, facsimile/e-mail distribution and route incoming and outgoing mail that may include large distribution lists

  • Maintain tickler system for follow-up

  • Entry of status of projects in various status report databases

  • Generate reports filed with various labor unions

  • Generate Expense Reports

  • Liaise with internal departments and external entities as needed

  • Files correspondence and legal documents in office filing system

  • Ensures proper indexing and filing of original legal documents

  • Maintain and update legal indexes

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years entertainment and/or legal experience

  • Must be proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet software

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with staff, other administrators, internal and external customers and senior management

  • Must be organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple high priorities and have the ability to appropriately prioritize work and proactively anticipate and manage time in a team environment
