We are positioned to be your one-stop staffing resource for all your hiring & employment needs from entry-level to executive, spanning across all industries.We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Assistant in the Dayton, OH area with one of our clients! This position will support a Managing Partner. Seeking someone with experience in the legal field of estate planning and probate.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Managing Partner Attorney with legal case management, including organizing and maintaining case files
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings
- Answer phones, communicate with clients and court personnel as necessary
- Drafting/reviewing/finalizing pleadings, documents and written correspondence, transcription;
- Electronically file court documents
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to ethical standards
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and copying documents
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or similar role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Ability to provide support multiple people and tasks while meeting targeted deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong proofreading skills
- Strong sense of urgency
- Must be flexible, willing to work occasional overtime and occasional weekends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Proficient in Must be able to accurately type 60-80 WPM.
