Applicant must hold a Master's degree in athletic training, a sub discipline of Kinesiology, or a closely related field of study; one to three years of athletic training experience working with collegiate athletes and teaching experience, preferred.

Primary Purpose of Position

Teach undergraduate courses as assigned by the Department of Kinesiology Chair. Position also provides medical care for assigned teams within the Department of Athletics and lead other athletic trainers.

Job Description

Teach undergraduate courses as assigned by the Department of Kinesiology Chair; serves as a preceptor in a CAATE-accredited AT Program; provides daily medical care for assigned teams to include all team activities and associated travel, including nights and weekends; maintain appropriate electronic medical records; supervise graduate assistant athletic trainers; carry out administrative and other duties as assigned by the Dept. Chair or the Director of Athletics.

This position is subject to confirmed funding.

Management Preference

Lic or Certification required by statute or regulation

Must have BOC certification and current CPR/AED certification; must be eligible by August 2024 or hold a current North Carolina athletic training license through NCBATE.
