The Department of Communication in the College of Liberal Arts, at the University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for nine-month, non-tenure stream positions as Lecturer in Communication Studies to begin Fall 2024.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidates will teach core courses in Communication Studies such as COMS 1301 Fundamentals of Public Speaking, COMS 2302 Professional and Technical Communication for Science and Engineering, and other Communication courses as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

An earned master's degree in Communication; evidence of teaching effectiveness.

The Department of Communication at UT Arlington is housed in the College of Liberal Arts. Seven undergraduate majors (Advertising, Broadcasting, Communication Studies, Communication Technology, Journalism, Philanthropy, and Public Relations) and an M.A. in Communication are offered in the department. Core courses offered by the Department of Communication serve majors across the university.
