Job Summary:

The Department of Bioengineering at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus invites applications for a temporary, non-tenure track Lecturer position. Specifically, we are seeking candidates to teach BIOE 3040:

Physiology for Bioengineers, in Fall 2024. This is a required, 3-credit, lecture-based course in the Bioengineering undergraduate curriculum and is taught on the Anschutz Medical Campus.

Responsibilities of this position include, but may not be limited to: course instruction according to department expectations; course syllabus preparation per the approved institutional template; preparation of teaching materials for class in accordance with the program curriculum; preparation of examinations, quizzes, homework, and associated grading; maintaining posted office hours and attending recitation period for student consultations; revising curricula materials according to feedback from the department.

Anticipated Pay Range:

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

This is a non-tenure track position with the following required qualifications:

  • M.S. or other terminal degree in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Medicine, or related discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience at the undergraduate level

  • Experience in course and curriculum development

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Effective communication and interpersonal/human relations skills

  • Strong commitment to undergraduate education and success

  • Sensitivity to the needs of a diverse student population, including minoritized and international students
