The McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management invites applications from qualified candidates for the full-time position of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to begin in January 2019. The successful candidate will teach classroom courses at our campus in Tucson, AZ.

This faculty member will also participate in outreach and contribute to departmental, college and university service. In these and other ways, the faculty member will help to develop innovative approaches to enhancing student engagement, increasing diversity, and expanding collaborations with community and business partners.Candidates must demonstrate an established record of engaged teaching as well as academic experience specifically related to entrepreneurship and innovation. Preference will be given to candidates who are comfortable with a collaborative teaching environment and a facilitative role with students.

The McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship is an independent Center within the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona. The Department seeks individuals who are able to work with diverse students and colleagues, and who have experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives. The faculty members will also contribute through some departmental, college, and university service. Duties & Responsibilities * Teach three economics courses, or two large-lecture economics courses, per semester. * Prepare class syllabi and notes. * Grade assignments and conduct and grade exams. * Hold office hours. * Additional duties may be assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities * Experience teaching undergraduates in large-enrollment lecture courses, especially Principles, successfully. * Ability to work with diverse students and colleagues. Minimum Qualifications * Ph.D. in Economics or a related field. * Five or more years of teaching experience, post Ph.D., in Economics. * Demonstrated excellence in teaching, evidenced by course evaluations, teaching awards, or other means.
