FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Counseling, Leadership Literacy and Special Education seeks applicants for a lecturer or lecturer (doctoral schedule) position in Special Education to teach in our CAPE-Accredited, hybrid M.S.Ed. programs at all developmental levels and for all grades (P-12). Eligible candidates will have earned a Masters or Ph.D. in Special Education or a related field by August 2024. Successful candidates demonstrate excellence in teaching, service, administrative skills, and anti-racist,
anti-oppressive advocacy and leadership to engage and inspire our economically, culturally, and linguistically diverse Bronx and surrounding community candidates, colleagues, and P-12 schools. Experience in working with diverse populations across intersectional identities is expected. Qualified candidates must demonstrate equity and social justice awareness, knowledge, and skills in school and college access/affordability/admission counseling in ongoing twin pandemics of COVID19 and racism. The successful applicant will have outstanding collaboration skills to engage with program faculty colleagues, alumni, site supervisors, P-12 school and community partners, our advisory council, and candidates to promote and support exemplary program assessment and development.
