Job Description:

The Education Department at McDaniel College invites applications for a full-time lecturer for a new Early Childhood Education program to begin August 2023.

Duties: The teaching load is 4 courses per semester in addition to service and scholarship obligations as set forth by the faculty handbook.

Requirements:

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of a master's degree with training or experience in Early Childhood teaching methodology. Candidates with a PhD, Ed.D or who are ABD, or currently enrolled in a doctoral track in an Education program is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience in E-12 or higher education setting, particularly those with strong experience and knowledge of standards in Early Childhood.

Demonstrated application of current best practices in teaching methodology in environments which foster communication in an interactive and engaging way, including the integration of technology in learning.

Ability to use internet, word, email, excel and presentation software programs

The ability and willingness to provide excellent service and to work in a collegial manner with students, faculty and staff, and other constituencies is essential.

Candidates must comply with all related federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines including, but not limited to, FERPA and Title IX.
