The Department of Spanish and Portuguese invites applications for part-time or full-time Lecturers in Spanish, expected to begin September 1, 2024 or during the 2024-25 academic year, with the possibility of renewal pending departmental need and satisfactory performance. Appointment duty time will depend upon course enrollments.

Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, and proven experience in teaching Spanish at the university level, are absolutely essential. Master's degree or enrollment in a Ph.D. program required; Ph.D. or M.A. working toward Ph.D. preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in Linguistics, SLA, or Applied Linguistics, although other fields will also be considered when there is evidence of sustained experience teaching Spanish at the university level.
