Juniata College invites applicants for a part-time position(s) teaching First Year Composition, which focuses on developing students' critical reading, writing, and analytical skills through writing process strategies and a two-week module on diversity. Instructors choose their own course theme.

Master's degree and teaching experience required. To deliver upon its educational commitment to students, Juniata courses are offered on campus in Huntingdon, PA. The successful candidate will be required to be present for in-person classroom instruction for academic year starting in August 2024.

Position Qualifications

Master's degree (from an accredited institution) and teaching experience required.

Supervision Required/Given

This position is supervised by the Director of General Education and Writing.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in English, Writing Studies, or related field and prior teaching of undergraduate writing courses is strongly preferred.
