Western State Colorado University invites applications for a non-tenure track, full-time lecturer faculty position in accounting.

The Accounting program at Western has over 40 majors and serves the more than 380 majors in Business Administration. Students can choose a standard accounting major or one of two emphasis areas in accounting. Duties: Teaching responsibilities include a 4/4 load and may include courses in introductory accounting and tax, and will include teaching courses in business depending on interests and the background of the successful candidate.

Qualifications:
A masters with an emphasis in accounting is required; A Ph.D. in accounting is preferred.

A CPA is also preferred. Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education and excellence in teaching. Collegiality and professional flexibility are characteristic of the Business School and would be looked for in the successful candidate.

Additional Application Information: START DATE: August 2020

SALARY/BENEFITS: $65,000-$69,000 (yearly) depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include an employee/employer shared contribution retirement plan and life and health insurance.

The Mathematics program has approximately 50 majors, a comprehensive undergraduate curriculum, and seven full-time faculty members. The department is particularly interested in candidates with experience in or potential for using innovative approaches to teaching.
