The Leasing Representative Retail is responsible for canvasing local, regional and national retailers to lease new retail developments along with some existing retail developments. Leasing Representative interacts with the brokerage community and effectively articulate features, attributes and availabilities at the project(s).
The Leasing Representative, as with all Shea team members, is expected to conduct himself/herself in a professional manner that is consistent with Shea Core Values and the Business Ethics, Employee Conduct and Confidentiality policy.
Leasing responsibility for new retail developments along with some existing retail developments
Interact with brokerage community and effectively articulate features, attributes and availabilities at the project(s)
Canvas local, regional and national retailers
Maintain in-depth knowledge of all aspects of assigned properties
Maintain understanding of competitive properties and critical market dynamics
Lease negotiations from initial LOI inquiry through lease execution
Assist in development of marketing and merchandising plans and budgets
Knowledge of tenant improvements
Interface with development/architects as it relates to space plans and LOD's.
Effectively communicates with coworkers and external business partners, vendors and tenants
Builds positive relationships with coworkers and external business partners, vendors and tenants
Technical/Professional Knowledge (Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience)
Effective written and oral communication skills; give clear direction and respond to inquiries.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Manage projects through planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.
Negotiate and resolve conflicts.
Time management and organization skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook), Yardi preferred.
Bachelors' Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent preferred.
2 years previous experience as a property management assistant.
Valid California Real Estate License
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and retailers across a broad spectrum of categories and price points
Ability to travel regularly
The Leasing Representative - Retail works in a professional office environment and interfaces with external/internal customers, tenants, and vendors on a regular basis. Hours are usually Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. 5:30 p.m. However, the Leasing Representative should be flexible with availability depending on the needs of the department.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk, hear, and use a telephone and personal computer. May be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must be able to drive during the course of work.
