POSITION OVERVIEW
A multi-family leasing professional is an individual tasked with the crucial role of marketing and leasing residential units within multi-family properties like apartment complexes. Their responsibilities often include conducting property tours, screening potential tenants, negotiating lease terms, and ensuring compliance with leasing policies and regulations. These professionals act as the primary point of contact for prospective residents, providing information about available units, amenities, and lease terms while working to secure new tenants for the property. Their goal is to attract and retain residents by effectively communicating the benefits of living in the community and facilitating the leasing process.
Expected to make sales, teamwork and customer service his/her top priority. The Multi-Family Leasing Professional is responsible for the following duties:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate amenities, apartment homes, pricing and close leases. Maintain an acceptable closing ratio as directed by the Property Manager.
Greet customers and tour apartments while listening to and focusing on customer's preferences.
Process incoming lease applications, run credit verifications, track all prospective tenants, and follow up on all leads.
Generate prospect traffic through marketing efforts: Internet postings, community outreach, resident referrals, and property tours.
Prepare lease documentation and conduct lease signings.
Assist in lease renewals across all properties.
Minimize vacancy loss by securing leases within 5 business days of move-out.
Coordinate all move-ins, move-outs, and transfers to achieve maximum occupancy and resident retention. Handle or assist in lease renewals.
Act in accordance with all fair housing laws.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience within the real estate industry and/or customer service or sales background within luxury goods or services such as car sales, travel, advertising, furniture, or any high end retailer.
All candidates must be excellent communicators, self-disciplined, positive, energetic, resourceful, and possess a strong ethical foundation.
Frequent market travel using your personal vehicle (reliable transportation required).
High school diploma, some college preferred.
