Habitat America, is a DC, MD, VA based property management company, seeking Leasing Manager! This fun, fast paced, position allows you to network and utilize your creativity on a daily basis! This position requires driving to various communities within the Habitat portfolio. Valid driver's license is required for consideration of this position.
Assignments could extend to areas in MD, DC and VA. Candidates must have excellent customer service and communication skills to be considered for the position. 2+ years of prior marketing and/or leasing experience is preferred. Friendly and approachable demeanor is a must! In this role, the Leasing Manager is expected to be knowledgeable of sales and closing techniques. Develop knowledge of competing apartment communities. (ie: product, price and amenities, etc.) Educate self of community services located within the area in order to assist residents and prospects. Responsibilities:
Effectively market and advertise the community to people outside and inside of the community.
Follow-up with all apartment prospects in order to rent available apartments.
Show and rent available apartments.
Plan/host community events to maintain and promote the community to prospective residents.
Partner with the property leasing staff to distribute promotional materials and attract prospects and increase traffic
Assist with the coordination of outreach marketing plans
Determine strategic placement, and makes presentation of information appealing for outreach purposes
Maintain an excellent customer service relationship with staff and residents
Participate in outside community functions. (ie: Chamber of Commerce, trade organizations, etc.)
Participate in the development and implementation of marketing programs. (ie: corporation outreach, special promotions, etc.)
Progress reporting on Marketing Initiatives
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
This position includes extensive daily driving requirements- Reliable transportation required
Leasing experience preferred
Proven sales ability
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite- including Word, Excel, Power Point. Computer literacy required
Must be flexible regarding hours worked and willing to assist with community events that may occur at night or on weekends
Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment
Must be able to lift 25 lbs
