As a Leasing Consultant, you will work closely with one of our top property management teams to provide exceptional service to residents. Each day will be unique, requiring an ability to prioritize, multitask, think creatively, take initiative, and employ a diverse set of skills. You will listen carefully to discover prospective residents' needs, confidently recommend solutions and overcome concerns, and earn commitment by guiding new residents through the leasing process. WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Connect with prospective residents through phone calls, appointments, and follow-up communications.

  • Show off our community by walking the property with prospective residents and delivering a persuasive sales pitch about the benefits of living in an Equity Residential apartment home.

  • Manage the leasing process by guiding new residents through each step, completing and verifying all lease applications and sharing results with applicants.

  • Keep accurate records of prospective and current residents, as well as rent and inventory.

  • Handle transactions like accepting rent and deposits and inspecting move-ins and move-outs.

  • Collaborate with talented teammates to identify and solve any apartment issues that arise.

  • Plan fun activities that help build a strong sense of belonging among residents.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with computers including word processing, calendar management, software/database, and social media

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • College degree or coursework

  • Prior experience in leasing, sales, or hospitality

VIEW JOBS 10/10/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-08T00:00 Hanover Company is looking for an experienced Leasing Consultant for Hanover Cambridge Park, a new construction, luxury mid-rise apartment community in Cambridge, MA. The six-story development consists of 254 units and residential amenities such as a professionally landscaped courtyards with a resort-style pool, cabana seating, BBQs for outdoor grilling and a firepit/leisure area. The fully furnished clubhouse includes a demonstration kitchen, fitness center, business area, cinema with stadium seating, gaming activities, and common area televisions. Responsibilities include answering incoming phone calls, scheduling property tours with prospective residents, and following up with those prospects. Good communication skills, marketing experience, excellent customer service skills, and computer skills are required. Working knowledge of Entrata is a big plus. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Answer all incoming phone calls professionally and convert prospective residents from phone traffic into physical traffic. * Send thank you notes/emails to all prospects and follow up with phone calls until they have leased elsewhere. Comments MUST be entered into operating system data file about the showing, the prospect's comments, etc. * Walk move-ins at least two days prior to move-in and note any service requests. * Accept rental applications and complete credit verifications for Property Manager's final approval according to policy. Take security deposits immediately upon leasing the unit. * Acquire extensive knowledge of the property, the neighborhood, local schools, etc., to assist in leasing. * Walk available units and models daily to ensure a perfect product. Open blinds, turn on lights, air conditioning or heat, and freshen. Inform maintenance supervisor of any needs or concerns in unit. * Walk the property and report any liability problems noticed immediately. * Maintain complete lease files. Prepare all lease documents for move-ins prior to move-in according to policy. Keep sufficient supply of leasing materials available. * Prepare all traffic reports, guest cards, etc., as required by Hanover. Record all traffic, leases, move-ins, move-outs and renewals on the required forms or in the system. * Acquire extensive knowledge of our Rental Application, Rental Agreement (Lease), Rules and Regulations, etc., to discuss in detail with the new resident. * Maintain resident relations programs as defined by supervisors. * Prepare Weekly and Monthly Market Surveys on a timely basis as required by the corporate office and use this knowledge to help maintain a competitive occupancy and rental rate. * Perform any and all duties called upon by supervisors to ensure that the property operates in an efficient and economic manner. * Represent property and Hanover professionally through dress and behavior.
