Leading Retail Company
Responsible for maintaining the new lease system for all executed leases the Company enters into monthly.
Responsible for analyzing and extracting the financial lease terms for real estate and equipment leases for the new lease accounting.
Responsible for reading, interpreting, extracting, and inputting lease data into the leasing system with accuracy.
This position requires critical thinking to extract the terms of the agreement to ensure that the information is accurately captured.
The extract provides the basis to formulate the data required to calculate the assets and liabilities and record the associated interest and amortization, to comply with reporting requirements and prepare financial statement disclosures for the new lease accounting.
The position requires technical and analytical skills to extract and input the information into the lease application and validate and assess the results for accuracy.
Type of background we are looking for:
Jr. Attorney or Paralegal certificate preferred or previous applicable experience;
BA in Finance or Accounting preferred or previous applicable experience a plus; background in Commercial and/or Real Estate Law preferable;
4 years Legal document interpretation experience, Real Estate or Commercial preferred;
2- 4-years Accounting/Finance experience a plus
