JOB SUMMARY:
The Supervisor leads the team members responsible for performing the day-to-day tasks in accordance with departmental and functional procedures, internal controls, and the accounting in accordance with US GAAP, Caesar's policies and procedures, and applicable state and Federal regulations. Assist the department leadership in developing KPIs to aid in obtaining peak performance.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Oversee a combination of professional and non-professional accounting staff
Reviews account reconciliations and journal entries ensuring compliance with existing controls, policies and procedures and GAAP
Coordinate and review the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting processes to accurately record transactions
Understand the requirements and implementation of US GAAP
Oversee and review of work and monthly account reconciliations performed by team members
Be familiar with monthly and quarterly financial reports, including SEC filings and applicable disclosures
Prepare and/or review monthly deliverables, such as roll forward schedules, financial reporting support schedules, and legal/regulatory reporting

Get, guide and root for assigned team and accurately assess performance, provide support, training, mentoring, and development to staff on an ongoing basis to ensure the department performs at a maximum performance level
Assist manager in developing and leading regular training sessions to enhance department performance
Assist manager in creating and implementing strategic vision
Assists staff in problem resolution and escalation to ensure accurate financial reporting
Assist in promoting change management as the need arises
Provides manager with monthly metrics of assigned team noting key achievements and areas needing improvement. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Proactively provides feedback to leadership on people, process, technology and compliance
Coordinate the production of documents in response to requests from internal auditors, independent auditors, properties, and others, as necessary
Perform monthly analysis of applicable financial statement accounts for senior leadership
Lead project from end to end
Perform other job-related duties as requested
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of Accounting related experience
At least 1+ year of supervisor experience
Lease Accounting experience preferred
BA/BS degree in accounting or related degree
Prefer CPA or advance degree
Prefer gaming and/or entertainment industry experience
Prior experience with Oracle or similar ERP system and or subledger preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
Solid leadership skills
Organized, with strong analytical skills and detail oriented
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet assigned deadlines as required
Ability to adapt to new circumstances by understanding the changes and supporting management in communicating them in a positive manner
Solid communication skills, both written and verbal; able to actively participate in meetings and communicate with multiple levels of management
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with other team members and department leaders
Ability to understand processes, issues, and possible solutions, and be able to communicate the solutions appropriately
Actively participate in special project assignments and team building activities
Must be a team player in a professional environment
Understanding of Internal Control over Financial Report (ICFR), GAAP and SOX requirements
Must have intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel
Project management experience leading projects from start to completion
Ability to appropriately manage confidential information.
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
