This position involves working collegially with other support staff, teachers, and school-based administration on a daily basis in support of the goals of the school. Working as a team member in our vibrant and enthusiastic workplace/community is critical.

The Estacada Scohol District is looking for an Oregon-certified Special Education Learning Specialist - Primary Level, Virtual to support students at Summit Learning Charter.

Essential Qualifications:
Candidates need to be experienced and successful in developing differentiated lessons that scaffold effectively and most importantly can demonstrate caring communication to help families and students overcome obstacles.
We use a wide variety of digital programs, apps and tools to help create an engaging learning experience for students. The teaching candidate needs to be comfortable learning and using these digital tools with families and students.
Hold a Valid Oregon Teaching License and Appropriate Credentia.
Skilled in development & implementation of learning activities, behavior management, and teaching to individual student skill levels.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing and build relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Candidates must have the ability to carry and load computers and supplies.
Ability to learn new technology tools quickly (web based tools, curriculum supports, database)
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Work as part of an energetic building and departmental team to create a vibrant learning community for students receiving special education services. Establish positive relationships with students, parents, and staff. Flexibility in providing virtual consultation services to families and students either in the general education setting or in a special education setting. Use a variety of assessments to understand student learning and plan next instructional steps. Demonstrate a commitment to improving instructional practices, creating more inclusive cultures, and increasing student voice. Collaborate with general education teachers, instructional assistants, teaching specialists, administration, and parents to create and implement cohesive resources and supports for families, students, and staff, including creating, updating, and writing individualized educational plans.

Additional Duties:
Work closely with Estacada SD student services with special education record keeping.
Ensure proper timelines and paperwork are followed and implemented for students at all sites
Location:
Candidates should expect to fulfill their duties remotely from a secure home office location, with the expectation of attending our school campus office (30391 SE Hwy 211, Eagle Creek, Oregon), about 30 minutes from Portland, twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursday.
SALARY, BENEFITS, CONTRACT
$27,723-$47,246 (Starting 24/25, pro-rated for half-time; dependent upon verified years of experience and education as shown on official transcripts)
193 Contract days at .5fte

1-year Probationary Contract, Renewable by March 15, 2025
