The Learning Solutions Specialist is responsible for design, development and delivery of training for Advarra employees, and others who work with Advarra. This position works with management and subject matter experts to assess, design, deliver, and evaluate training and its impact that achieves business objectives.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Needs Analysis:

  • Confer with business stakeholders to analyze training needs, set learning objectives, research and recommend appropriate media and methods for learning

  • Identify potential training gaps/issues and work with Business Process Analysts and training team to resolve

Training Design and Development:

  • Develop instructional materials and media that provide engaging, challenging, and meaningful learning experiences

  • Develop blended learning solutions by creating or project managing a variety of deliverables including e-learning, leader guides, participant guides, multimedia visual aids, and job aids

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to finalize materials through reviews, developmental tests, pilots, etc.

  • Create learner assessments and skill checks to test learner comprehension

  • Deliver high quality multimedia materials within specified deadlines

Training Delivery:

  • Coordinate and deliver quality instruction according to course objectives, via multiple delivery media (e.g. classroom, web, e-learning, etc.)

  • Create and build content and curricula within a Learning Management System (LMS)

  • Assist with coordinating the implementation and delivery of courses, as well as writing, editing, and coordinating with outside vendors

  • Monitor and evaluate learner performance

Training Administration and Documentation:

  • Assign learning activities and schedule learners to complete those activities

  • Edit learner profiles and training assignments as necessary in the LMS

  • Assist the Quality Assurance & Compliance team and management in evidencing completed training to company policy and procedure

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience


  • 2+ years' experience in providing training and development of adult learners as a trainer, team lead, coach, or supervisor (preferably regulated services)

  • Experience in the design and development of web based learning (preferred)


  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Effective interpersonal skills

  • Project management skills

  • Analysis skills


  • Solid understanding of instructional design theories, methodologies and best practices, including interactive teaching methods

  • Experience with the following Software:

  • Highly preferred

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio)
  • Highly preferred
  • Relational Database or Learning Management Systems (preferred)
  • Preferred
  • Camtasia, Snagit, Articulate, Adobe Captivate


  • Ability to identify client needs and desired outcomes
